Trump, who is known for his massive outdoor rallies, faced warnings from the USSS about the security risks involved in such events, especially after the incident in Pennsylvania. During the event, which began with a speech by his running mate, Senator JD Vance, Trump directed harsh criticism at his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, whom he tried to link to the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan and the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East.
