US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he will continue to hold open-air rallies despite the assassination attempt he survived and the Secret Service’s recommendation to hold them exclusively at indoor venues, Day.Az reports, citing TASS.
“I will continue to hold outdoor rallies. The Secret Service has agreed to significantly increase their operations, they are capable of doing so. No one should ever prohibit or impede free speech or assembly,” the former head of the White House wrote in Truth Social.
Earlier, The Washington Post, citing sources, reported that after the assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13, Secret Service agents recommended that Trump and his campaign team “stop organizing large rallies and other events with large numbers of visitors outdoors” for security reasons.
