Since Nikki Haley remains in the race despite Trump’s victory in New Hampshire, he is now trying to secure the Republican presidential nomination with threats.

Washington DC – Donald Trump is clearly getting impatient. The presidential candidacy is within reach. But still standing in the way is Nikki Haley, despite her loss in the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday (January 23).

Trump’s only remaining competitor for the presidential candidacy in the 2024 US election wants to stay in the race. Which is why Trump once again threw insults around him. But that didn’t seem to be enough for the former president, because he is now making nebulous threats.

Trump talks about people who are supposedly “investigating you in 15 minutes”

If Nikki Haley wins the Republican primary, Trump said, she would be investigated for things she wouldn’t want to talk about. According to the news portal Newsweek Said Trump: “Just a little note to Nikki. She won’t win. But if she did, these people would be investigating her in 15 minutes and I can already give five reasons why – not big reasons. Little things she doesn’t want to talk about.”

Trump’s victory in the Republican primaries and therefore his presidential candidacy are not yet 100 percent certain. Trump himself seems to know this too. Apparently he is now switching to threatening tactics.

Trump’s candidacy is hardly acceptable anymore

What the former president might have meant by that remains unclear. The statement still shows that, despite stubbornly claiming that Haley wouldn’t win anyway, Trump is currently pulling out all the stops to securely become the Republican candidate.

Trump’s nomination as the Republican presidential candidate is almost impossible to take away since he defeated Haley in the important primary election in New Hampshire. In addition, no candidate has ever lost the race for the Republican presidential nomination after winning the US primaries in the first two states.

“A Trump nomination is a Biden victory”

But Haley announced that she wanted to continue fighting – which obviously made Trump angry. The race for the Republican presidential nomination is “far from over,” said Haley. And she also had a side swipe ready: The “worst kept secret in politics” is currently how much the Democrats would like to run against Trump. “A Trump nomination is a Biden victory.”
