Trump warns of World War III if Harris wins

Two months before the US presidential election, both candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are busy attracting new voters, while presidential candidate Donald Trump renewed his attacks on Democratic presidential candidate and US Vice President Kamala Harris, predicting a third world war if she wins the US election.

Fox News reported that presidential candidate Donald Trump predicted the outbreak of World War III if Harris wins, during his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, adding: “You are now closer to World War III than at any time since World War II. We have never been this close because we have incompetent people running the country.”

The campaign of Democratic presidential candidate and US Vice President Kamala Harris has accepted the rules for next week’s debate against former President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, including muting microphones when the candidate’s turn to speak ends, according to what Reuters reported, citing a source familiar with the matter.

Trump and Harris are scheduled to face off in their first presidential debate in Pennsylvania on September 10.

The debate between Trump and Harris will take place on ABC at 9 p.m. ET (0100 GMT on September 11) at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, one of a number of swing states that will help determine the outcome of the election.

Over the weekend, Harris invited Trump to her debate with microphones on throughout the event.

So-called “hot microphones” can be a double-edged sword, sometimes picking up unintended comments not directed at the audience, while muted microphones help prevent interruptions between debaters.

Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz and Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance have also agreed to debate on October 1 on CBS News.
