Donald Trump escaped, for the second time in two months, an alleged assassination attempt on Sunday. Several Secret Service agents “opened fire on a gun” near Donald Trump’s golf course, and an AK-47 sniper rifle was found, along with two backpacks and video recording equipment, authorities said at a press conference.

The suspect fled in a black car, but a witness helped police identify the vehicle and authorities located it. The FBI announced the arrest of a suspect.

Joe Biden said that he was “aware” that his rival was “not involved” and also confirmed that “there is no place for political violence or any kind of violence in our country”.
