Former US President Donald Trump’s approval rating has risen following the assassination attempt on him and the Republican Party convention held this week, according to a poll conducted for ABC by the Ipsos polling service, Day.Az reports, citing TASS.

According to the survey, Trump’s approval rating has risen to 40%. As the network notes, for most of the last four years it has fluctuated but remained above the 30% mark.

Biden’s approval rating now stands at 32%. As ABC points out, the president’s approval rating has remained virtually unchanged over the past year.

The poll was conducted July 19-20 among 1,141 Americans, with a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points.

The presidential election in the United States will be held on November 5. Biden is expected to represent the Democratic Party of the United States. His candidacy is expected to be approved at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, which will be held on August 19-22. However, after Biden’s disastrous performance in the election televised debate with Republican Trump on June 27, there have been increasing calls in the United States, including among Democrats, for Biden to abandon further attempts to retain the highest state office.
