The Board of Directors of Trust Bank Plc, a listed company in the banking sector of the capital market, has appointed a new chairman. General Walker-uz-Zaman has been appointed as the new chairman and director of the bank.
On Sunday (July 28), this information was revealed by Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE).
Incidentally, General Waqar-uz-Zaman was appointed as the Chief of Army Staff for the next three years from June 23. He was commissioned in the Bangladesh Army on 20 December 1985 as a member of the East Bengal Regiment with the 13th Long Term Course. He successfully completed his graduation from Defense Services Command and Staff College, Mirpur with a succession of good results in various courses from the beginning of his military career.
Later he was also recognized as a graduate from the Joint Services Command and Staff College, UK. He completed Masters of Defense Studies (MDS) in First Class from National University and Masters of Arts in Defense Studies from King’s College, University of London, UK.
