Trust in social institutions is declining: the government and the media stand out negatively

The Edelman company annually publishes the “Global Trust Barometer” in which it examines the degree of trust that various institutions inspire in the residents of 27 central countries (Israel not included).

According to the company, the business community inspires the highest trust (61%), and the institution that inspires the least trust is the media (50%). It should be noted that trust in the government dropped by 13% from the index published in May 2020. In the media, search engines inspire the most trust (59%), and social networks the least (37%).
