Thailand is rolling out a new “Trusted Thailand” stamp to reassure international visitors about safety standards.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched the “Trusted Thailand” stamp, a government-backed initiative designed to boost international confidence and promote the country as a safe and welcoming destination. The stamp is awarded to tourism operators who meet stringent safety measures, aiming to give travelers greater peace of mind.

Mr.Jakkaphon Tangsutthitham,Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports,stressed the vital role of safety in fostering sustainable tourism. He noted its particular importance for key international markets, such as China. The government is actively combining enhanced safety protocols with tourism promotion efforts, continuously upgrading attraction standards and working closely with security agencies.
Restoring Traveler Confidence
According to ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, the “Trusted Thailand” stamp is a symbol of the nation’s commitment to safety and remarkable hospitality. These extensive efforts underscore a dedication to Thailand’s steady tourism recovery, reinforcing its position as a preferred global travel destination. The initiative aims to restore traveler confidence through visible safety assurances.
Operationalizing Safety Measures
The program encompasses crucial safety protocols across key tourism sites, the security of financial transactions, and improved standards for visitor care. To ensure broad participation and understanding, workshops and public forums are being organized to discuss safety management with relevant agencies. Campaigns are specifically targeting short-haul markets like China and long-haul destinations in Europe and the Americas in anticipation of the upcoming high season.
A dedicated mini-site is set to launch in September 2025, which will assist operators with self-assessment procedures. The nationwide implementation of the “Trusted thailand” stamp project is planned for October 2025, further promoting Thailand as a modern and secure travel experience.
