The Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) reported that it is preparing the logistics to carry out the third national simulation of the computer model, which will take place on Friday, August 18, at the National Information Center installed in the Tikal Futura hotel expocenter.

Perspective Writing

This drill will test the consistency and operation of the Preliminary Electoral Results Transmission system (TREP), which will be used for the second round of elections on August 20.

In this sense, the presiding magistrate of the TSE, Irma Elizabeth Palencia Orellana, informed the national prosecutors of the political parties of the details of the drill that will be in charge of the General Directorate of Information Technology of the electoral authority.

This will have the participation of more than five thousand people who will be distributed throughout the country and in some cities in the United States, will carry out tasks of coordination, typing and digitalization of information and others related to the data transmission process.

For this reason, the electoral authorities invited the national prosecutors of the political parties to participate in the third simulation as well as their computer prosecutors so that they attest to the transparency of the TREP.

Previous drills were held on May 11 and June 3 in preparation for the June 25 general election. These drills were considered successful since the results were obtained “quickly”.
