Tsiknopepti means the beginning of the Halloween events and Ioannina will welcome it with a nice musical parade in the pedestrian streets and squares of the city, with music from Epirus and Macedonia, as well as many tasty surprises.
This entertaining event will take place for the second time, after the great impact it had, bringing fun, dancing and fun to the most central parts of the capital of Epirus.
On Thursday, March 7, the band of musicians will start at 5 pm from Mavili Square and, with its final destination at the central pedestrian street of Ioannina, will pass through pedestrian streets and squares of the city with frequent stops for dancing, tasting the various treats, which they will prepare the stores, as well as other culinary surprises.
“From Tsiknopempti onwards we start preparing for Halloween and Ioannina get into intense festive rhythms. The city will begin to fill with visitors and everyone will be in the streets having fun, culminating in Jamales and Clean Monday. Especially on the weekend of Halloween, the occupancy in our city is expected to reach close to 100%, as this custom is particularly beloved and has acquired a fanatic audience from all over the country. I invite people to walk with us in the musical alley of Tsiknopeptis, with fun and hilarity guaranteed”, says Stathis Sioutis, who initiated the event, in a statement.
The orchestra will consist of the musicians Ioannis Papadopoulos (clarinet), Diamantis Papanastasiou (percussion), Arti Mosqueta (saxophone), Apostolis Dougali (trumpet), Sarantis Dramali (trumpet) and Nikos Gouzgounis (trombone).
Sponsors are Hotel Olympic, IEK DELTA 360 Ioannina and Melisitos. The event will be supported by the Katsika Cultural Association and the Red Cross.
