TuBus Zone 15 route in testing phase

Several Guatemalans have seen some circulating TuBus route buses for the Zone 15 of Guatemala City. This route is part of the service operated by Transmetrowhich also manages routes 104, 5, 801 and 802. Currently, the TuBus Zone 15 service is in the testing phaseprior to starting normal operations in a few months.

During this testing phase, Guatemalans can take advantage of the service for free while several aspects are evaluated for optimal operation. It should be noted that the route and schedules may be subject to modifications as the evaluation process progresses. Below are the details of the current route.

Route and stops of the TuBus Zone 15 route

The Ruta 305as it is officially called, runs from Vista Hermosa in Zone 15 to 5a. Avenida in the Zone 9 Terminal. The service is available Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. while the test phase lasts.

When will TuBus route 305 begin normal operations in Zone 15?

Although an official date for the start of regular operations of Route 305 has not yet been announced, the testing phase is expected to conclude in the coming months.

Other TuBus service lines

In addition to Route 305 in Zone 15, the TuBus service has other service lines that facilitate mobility in different areas of the city. Each one is designed to cover specific areas of the capital with a public transport service.

  • Ruta 104: Covers Zones 1, 5, 6, 10 and 14, connecting the San Antonio Neighborhood in Zone 6 with the La Villa Cemetery in Zone 14.
  • Ruta 5: It covers Zones 1, 4 and 5, from the Palacio de los Deportes Norte Station to the Cipreses Sur Station.
  • Ruta 801: In the testing phase, it connects Zones 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12. Its route goes from Los Pinos Park in Zone 7 to the Terminal in Zone 9.
  • Ruta 802: Also in the testing phase, it runs through Zones 1, 3 and 7, connecting Colonia Bethania with 4a Avenida and 19 Calle in Zone 1.
