Tuition fee hike in Abu Dhabi schools; 3.94 percent will be increased

Abu Dhabi: The Department of Education and Knowledge of Abu Dhabi has approved an increase in tuition fees for the current academic year. After three years, Abu Dhabi schools are increasing their fees. The fee hike was frozen for three years in the wake of Covid. According to Adec officials, the fee hike could be a maximum of 3.94 per cent based on the Education Cost Index in the Emirates.

The fee hike is applicable to schools with outstanding qualifications. A very good qualifying school can increase the fee by 3.38 percent. 2.81 percent increase has been allowed for good schools. Schools in acceptable, week and very week categories have been allowed to increase tuition fees by only 2.25 per cent.

11 schools were given Outstanding rank after official inspections. 37 schools got Very Good, 85 schools Good, 63 schools Acceptable and one school got Week rank. Schools with at least three years of operational experience will be allowed to increase the fee.
