Tuna and Ravid Plotnik made history in their joint show as part of six sold out shows at Live Park Rishon LeZion. The two opened one show that was sold out in a few minutes and when they realized the size of the demand, they closed five more shows that were sold to 90 thousand people. In a conversation with Iris Cole on 103FM, Amit Salonim (“Walla”) told about the phenomenal success.

Make history: this is why 90,000 people flocked to Tona and Ravid Plotnik’s concert
Among all the Purim events held this year – there was an unusual one

Is it as they say?
“It’s as they say more and more. There are performances after the performance you no longer feel like listening to the singer and the band, and performances you want to listen to over and over again after the performance, this is the second option, it just whets the appetite.”

Everyone was talking about there being tears, and they were Tuna’s right?
“The tears at the first show were Tuna’s, I can say they were mutual, not necessarily at that moment. You looked around and saw people crying. We know what’s going on here, and we see two artists who started from small shows, from drawing an audience to a genre that wasn’t necessarily popular. They started Two companies develop hope, and suddenly to fill six concerts at Live Park, 90 thousand people, suddenly brought the music that was marginal to the mainstream, songs like ‘Sahara’, even my mother knows how to hum.”

“It’s some kind of victory celebration. It’s coming and saying, ‘We started with small dreams of filling the barbie,’ 90,000 tickets were sold,” Salonim noted, adding: “Suddenly it was hard to separate them. There was something terribly special. I was only at the first show, I wonder how it’s possible To multiply it six times. The collaboration and cheering I guess is something inherent in the show.”

They bring something very Israeli. Hip hop or rap can be a bit awkward if you’re trying to be a holi. They both nailed it.
“There’s something in the Hebrew of the songs that really captures the moment without being awkward. They’re both not Jay-Z, it’s the cutest Shia. There’s something terribly authentic about them, and that’s their appeal. It’s something terribly real, they have no arrogance.”

Which one of them has more charisma in your opinion? The standout of the evening?
“On this particular evening, it’s very noticeable that they worked on not having anyone stand out in my opinion. In general, I don’t know, they’re both tremendous, and one plus one equals three.”
