The Israeli Embassy in Ecuador delivered 100 kits to people affected by a landslide in the Río Verde parish of the Baños canton, Tungurahua province.

A total of 100 kits with hygiene products and food supplies were delivered on July 18, 2024, by the Israeli embassy in the Río Verde parish of the Baños canton, Tungurahua province, following the landslide that occurred in the early hours of June 16, 2024.

The delivery was made by Ambassador Tzach Sarid in the presence of the Mayor of Baños de Agua Santa, Marlon Guevara. The donations were delivered directly to the affected families of the Río Verde parish. The Israeli Ambassador also toured the disaster area with the parish authorities.

This is not the first time that Israel has provided aid of this type. In February 2024, the diplomatic delegation provided support to the Echeandía canton after the Soloma River overflowed, causing the collapse of 10 homes, affecting 3,000 families.

Likewise, he has expressed solidarity with those affected by the avalanche in Alausí and the floods that occurred in 2023 in Esmeraldas and Guayas.

The donation was made possible by Mashav, the Israeli agency for international cooperation, and includes 100 family food kits with food, groceries and toiletries. (AVV)
