«Turin, a city rich in history and culture, is easy to see from the ISS. Good night Italy! ». These are the words that accompanied the photo taken from about 400 kilometers of height of the Piedmontese capital by AstroKimbrough and published on its Instagram site. Five days earlier he had published one in Madrid, also shot at night, but with a much more neutral comment.

Six spacewalks

Shane Kimbrough, 54 in two days, is one of the astronauts currently aboard the International Space Station. Shane is on his third space mission, the first was in 2008 aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavor on which he spent nearly sixteen days with two “spacewalks”. He had already been on the ISS in October 2016 of which he was the commander for almost six months. He made four more outings into space, in total he spent 39 hours in the vacuum. Launched with Space X last April, of which he is the commander, it will return to Earth next fall.
