Turkey repeated its well-known practice once again, with the promotion of its disputes and claims against our country through the NAVTEX publication system.

In particular, the Turkish authorities, questioning the competence of Greece to issue NAVTEX for the entire area of the Eastern Mediterranean within the limits of the Athens FIR, issued an anti-NAVTEX, assuming, as they say, themselves the responsibility of informing seafarers about the aeronautical exercise they have planned to carried out today by the Greek Armed Forces in an area south of Karpathos.

For this exercise, the relevant NAVTEX was issued by the Greek authorities on Tuesday, which the Turkish side is trying to cancel in this way.
