The Turkish Foreign Ministry said Turkey believed the attack in northern Iraq, which killed at least eight people and injured 23 others, was a “terrorist attack” and called on Iraqi authorities to refrain from making statements influenced by “terrorist organization propaganda”. The Iraqi state news agency reported that the Iraqi government had ordered the Foreign Ministry to summon the Turkish ambassador to Baghdad to hand him a letter of protest against the attack.
