Turkish Airlines Best Airline in Europe for the 8th time

Paris – Turkish Airlines has been named the best airline in Europe for the eighth year in a row by air travel rating agency Skytrax, the Turkish carrier said on Tuesday. The company also received the awards for Best Business Class Catering, Best Economy Class Catering, Best Airline in Southern Europe and Best Economy Class Seat in Europe at the World Airline Awards.

The survey included responses from more than 20 million customers from over 100 countries. With Skytrax, passengers decide on the ranking of the airlines. The awards, also known as the “Oscars of the aviation industry”, were presented at an event at the Paris Air and Space Museum. At the awards ceremony, Qatar Airways lost its title of World’s Best Airline 2023 to Singapore Airlines, taking second place.

“It’s a great achievement for Singapore Airlines to capture the title of World’s Best Airline for 2023,” said Plaisted.

Japan’s All Nippon Airways was the third best performing airline in the world, with Emirates fourth and Japan Airlines fifth.

Turkish Airlines moved up one spot to become the sixth best airline in the world out of more than 325 airlines included in the survey. Turkish Airlines was the eighth strongest airline brand in the world, according to a May survey by ratings and strategy consultancy Brand Finance.
