Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya called on the population to remain calm and vigilant in connection with provocations involving xenophobic manifestations and damage to public and private property.

As reported by Day.Az, the head of the department addressed his fellow citizens, noting that 474 individuals involved in illegal night actions against Syrian refugees in various cities of the country have been detained in various cities of Turkey.

“Our state has every opportunity to counteract attempts to destabilize the situation in the country. Do not resort to illegal actions, do not harm state and private property,” the minister wrote on social networks.

Meanwhile, Turkish National Defense Minister Yasar Guler said that any attempts to violate public order in the country will be harshly suppressed.

The Communications Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration denied claims about tax breaks for Syrian refugees. “Such false claims are aimed at manipulating public consciousness. We call on the population not to trust disinformation,” the statement from the Turkish leader’s Administration said.
