The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) raised its forecast for global economic growth for the current year from 2.6 percent to 2.7 percent, and estimates for the growth of the Turkish economy from 2.8 percent to 3.6 percent.

The OECD predicts that domestic demand will continue to be the main driver of Turkey’s economic growth. Turkey’s economic growth forecast for 2024 has also been cut from 3.8 percent to 3.7 percent.
The report predicts that Turkey’s inflation will be 44.8 percent in 2023, 40.8 percent in 2024, and the unemployment rate will be 10 percent this year and 9.9 percent next.
