Today, Saturday, the Turkish presidency denied allegations of the deteriorating health of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, stressing that these allegations aim to mislead public opinion.
The Center for Combating Misinformation of the Presidential Administration said in a statement posted on Twitter: “We inform you that the rumors that have been circulating about President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s health are completely untrue and aim to mislead public opinion.”
The statement refuted a tweet by a journalist, in which he indicated that “the doctors decided to perform a new surgery for President Erdogan as soon as possible … and that after the operation, he would decide if he would continue his duties,” according to “Sputnik.”
It is noteworthy that the Turkish presidency also denied, last April, news circulating about Erdogan’s heart attack.
