Turkish President Erdogan called President Herzog and offered his condolences on the death of his mother

President Yitzhak Herzog spoke today with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who asked for his condolences on the death of his mother, the late Ora Herzog. Erdogan said in a conversation that he understands the pain of losing a mother. Of the late Ora Herzog as well as on the important social initiatives that she promoted and led. “I believe you have brought pride to her in the service of the citizens of Israel,” he said.

The President of Turkey stated that he had heard about the death of Rabbi Ben Zion Pinto, one of the senior members of the Jewish community in Turkey, and expressed regret over this.
