On October 5 and 6, the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater will present the one-man show Sherley Valentine based on the play by British playwright Willy Russell with the participation of famous Turkish theater, television and film actress Sumru Yavrucuk, organized by Caspian Media Group with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, Day.Az reports.
The play tells the story of a woman who is lost in the grey everyday life, forgetting about her female dreams and aspirations. The heroine Shirley, wondering what happened to her youth, feels “downtrodden”, and her family treats her more like a servant. She regularly finds herself alone and talking to the wall… When her best friend wins a competition for two to Greece, she packs her bags, leaves a note on the kitchen cupboard door and goes on a two-week vacation. In Greece, she rediscovers everything she missed in her life in England.
Let us recall that Sumru Yavrucuk became famous for her bright roles in the TV series and films “Yabancı damat”, “Fatmagülün suçu ne?”, “Şahane hayatım”, “Evlilik hakkında her şey”, etc.
