A cameraman for the Turkish state television TRT was injured during Israeli shelling on the Gaza Strip, the television channel reported.

A journalists’ tent was also targeted by Israeli forces in the town of Khan Younis in the southern part of Gaza.

A TRT operator was wounded in the eye area by a piece of shrapnel. His assistant was also injured, as well as other journalists, according to Turkish television.

TRT Director General Mehmet Zahid Sobaca said the perpetrators should know that “the crimes they commit are being recorded and that we will never back down from reporting what is happening in Gaza.”

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it supports media workers “who are working with all their might to inform the world about Israel’s atrocities,” BTA writes.

The Minister of Justice of Turkey, Yilmaz Tunç, condemned on the X social network the actions of the “murderer Israel, which has been committing genocide in Gaza for 325 days” and added that the Israeli authorities will certainly be held accountable under international law.
