The Turkish Armed Forces support the legal position of brotherly, friendly and allied countries, especially Northern Cyprus and Azerbaijan, and contribute to global and regional security, peace and stability.
As Day.Az reported on Thursday, Turkish Minister of National Defense Yashar Guler stated this during his visit to Sanliurfa province.
Recalling that Turkey is located in the very center of a region full of conflicts and contradictions, Guler noted the importance of being prepared for any risks and threats. He drew attention to the contribution of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to resolving crises and conflicts.
According to him, modern Türkiye, under the leadership of President Erdogan, continues to take serious steps towards peace.
“We tried to solve problems in Karabakh, Libya, the Ukrainian-Russian war, the Middle East and many other regions, we came up with valuable initiatives in this direction and continue to do so,” Ya. Guler emphasized.
Noting that Turkey, as a global actor and an active participant in the global security architecture, has provided maximum support to peace and security at the international negotiating table, the Minister of National Defense also drew attention to the successful anti-terrorism operations carried out by the Turkish army in recent years.
The minister also mentioned that the PKK terrorists have been dealt serious blows. The vitality of this bloody organization is dwindling.
