What happened
Dan, who alone turned $5,000 into millionspoints out that leveraged traders’ counter-trading is one of the most profitable strategies in cryptocurrency. He explains: “Leveraged traders lose billions and billions of dollars every year and it’s very transparent and easy to identify why and when these people lose money.”
By analyzing data on liquidations, financing rates, and open interest, Dan has developed algorithms to capitalize on these opportunities. The investor warns against the hindsight trap, urging traders to focus on strategy execution rather than dwelling on missed opportunities.
“Looking back after you’ve made a decision and saying, ‘I should have done this,’ is not going to make you a better investor,” Dan points out.
Unlike the stock market, where time in the market often trumps timing, Dan points out that cryptocurrency requires a delicate balance of both. He notes, “In cryptocurrency, you have to be very good at timing, but you also have to be able to time the market.”
This aspect is particularly crucial for the altcoinwhich rarely surpass all-time highs in subsequent bull markets. Technical analysts they suggested that altcoins will continue to lose ground against the Bitcoin for now, with many of them, like Dogecoin and even Ethereumwhich have so far failed to reach their all-time highs of 2021.
Dan compares the cryptocurrency ecosystem to a hierarchical game, where insiders and early adopters have significant advantages. He reveals, “The way I see cryptocurrency after 10,000 hours is as if it were the world’s largest massively multiplayer online game.”
