Turnover and talent shortages put pressure on corporate recruiters

Recession ? What recession? The ManpowerGroup barometer carried out among 39,000 private companies and public bodies in some forty countries, including more than 1,000 companies in France, shows employment prospects still dynamic in the third quarter in France. About 40% of companies plan to recruit, against 19% who say they want to reduce their workforce.

“We note strong demand from companies faced with historically high turnover rates and real recruitment difficulties”, analyzes Alain Roumilhac, President of ManpowerGroup France. These figures illustrate in part, according to him, “remainders of hiring intentions from the 2^e quarter which could not be carried out”.
