He took the lead and finished the race in the lead: this Saturday evening, the TV film “Mort sur la piste”, broadcast on France 2, attracted nearly 900,000 more viewers than the launch of the eleventh edition of “Star Academy » on TF 1. The thriller had an exceptional guest: Jason Priestley, aka Brandon Walsh from the series “Beverly Hills 90210”, who played a Los Angeles cop who came to do an internship with the Le Mans police captain (played by Éléonore Bernheim, the heroine of “The Art of Crime”). With its investigation which takes place as part of the tests for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, “Death on the Track” fascinated 4.64 million viewers (23.8% of the public watching their television).
“Star Academy” therefore comes in second position, with 3.76 million fans (18.7% audience share) on TF 1. Presenter Nikos Aliagas did not, however, hide his enthusiasm to reunite with director Michael Goldman and the “castle teachers” to welcome thirteen new candidates, aged 18 to 25. Last year, after a ten-year absence from the show on the air, the first prime time of the tenth season of “Star Ac'” attracted 4.84 million viewers (24.9% share of ‘hearing).

The other channels far behind, M 6 under the million
Behind these two leaders, the other channels are relegated far behind. France 3 attracts 1.4 million nostalgic viewers alone with “Who will be the champion of the 80s?” » (7.9% market share). Hosted by Jean-Luc Lemoine, this game saw forty candidates compete around questions on the culture of the 80s. France 5 arrived at the foot of the podium and achieved a very good score with “Échappées belles”: the issue devoted to Scotland brought in 1.3 million curious people (6.6% of the public).
M 6 finished below the million viewer mark with “9-1-1 Lone Star”, which attracted 962,000 series fans (4.7% audience share). Note: the good score of “Once Upon a Time in the West”: Sergio Leone’s western brought together 626,000 moviegoers on 6ter (3.8% market share).
