The actor has dared to go to the altar again. After twelve years of relationship, Helmut Zierl said yes to his partner Sabrina Böcker.
“The Mountain Rescuers”, “Tatort”, “Alarm for Cobra 11”, “The Island Doctor” and he was even seen several times on the “Dream Ship”. There is hardly a series in which Helmut Zierl has not starred. Since the 1980s he has been one of the most sought-after actors in Germany. Helmut Zierl also found love through acting.
In 1988 he married his colleague Christine Zierl and had two children with her. The marriage ended in divorce in 2001. The subsequent relationship between him and series star Saskia Valencia, whom he met while filming, also broke up after ten years. Then Helmut Zierl met the social worker Sabrina Böcker – and this time it was supposed to last forever.
The two met through friends in 2012 and have now sealed their love by saying yes. As “Bild” reports, the wedding took place at the beginning of October in the Trittau registry office in Schleswig-Holstein, and was then celebrated in the “Vitalia Seehotel” in Bad Segeberg.
“Sabrina and I have been in a long-distance relationship for twelve years. It’s the second marriage for both of us and neither of us really wanted it,” says the actor, who celebrated his 70th birthday on October 6th, and raves about his wife, who is 30 years his junior Partner: “During the entire time, Sabrina traveled around the world around three and a half times to see me at my home in Lütjensee. Then I said to myself: With this woman – that must be true love. I have to marry her now.”
When asked about the age difference, Helmut Zierl makes it clear: “This topic always only comes to us from outside, it doesn’t play a role in our lives.” Family planning has already been completed for the father of three – and now also a grandfather. “Children are no longer an issue for me. We love each other, we are happy. That’s all that matters.”
