Oslo (Norway): Twelve people were reportedly executed in a single day in Iran. A woman was among those hanged. The Norwegian-based human rights group said on Monday that those involved in the murder and drug cases had been executed.

Sisthan was executed in Sahedan prison in Balochistan province. In 2019, a woman arrested in connection with the murder of her husband was executed. The victims were from the Sunni minority in Iran. However, the Iranian government has not commented on the incident.

The human rights group said the Iranian government’s stance on minorities was “worrying”. By 2021, Iran had executed 333 people. Amnesty International also expressed concern over the rising number of executions in the country.
