The India-Sri Lanka Twenty20 series will be played tomorrow. The first Twenty20 match will be played in Lucknow on Thursday. The Indian team is currently excited about whitewashing the Windies in the Twenty20 series. Jaspreet Boomra will be the team’s vice-captain in the absence of Rishabh Pant. Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Venkitesh Iyer and Ishankishan are the other batsmen in the batting line-up. Malayalee wicketkeeper Sanju Samson has also been included in the squad. After the first match, the other two and three matches will be played at Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh on the 26th and 27th respectively.
Apart from Boomra, Ravi Bishnoi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Herschelle Patel and Yusvendra Chahal will be at the helm of the bowling attack.
Injured Deepak Chahar will not play. Meanwhile, the vice-captain of the Sri Lankan team led by Dasun Shanaka is Charith Asalanka. Vanindu Hasaranga and Binura Fernando have been included in the squad after the isolation. Ten Nisanga, Kushal Mendis and Danushka Gunathilaka lead the batting while Mahesh Theekshana, Lahiru Kumara and Hasaranga are in charge of the bowling attack.
