Mumbai: BCCI sacked the selection committee after the defeat in the Twenty20 World Cup. News agency PTI reported that all the chairs of the four-member committee headed by Chetan Sharma were thrown. There was severe criticism against the selectors for the Indian team not reaching the finals in the World Cup. Not only this time, but in last year’s T20 World Cup as well, the selection committee was not able to pick a team capable of reaching the finals. Team India also lost in the final of the World Test Championship. A senior team selector usually has a tenure of four years.

BCCI has invited applications for men’s senior team selectors. Last date to apply is November 28.
