The music video for “What is Love?” by the group Twice has reached 800 million views on YouTube.
The music video for Twice’s 5th mini album title song ‘What is Love?’ released on April 9, 2018 surpassed 800 million YouTube views at 4:30 AM on the 27th.
With this, TWICE created their first 800 million-view music video and created a new record for themselves.
‘What is Love?’ is a song written and composed by JYP Entertainment’s head producer Park Jin-young. It features lyrics expressing the curiosity of girls who have learned about love through books, movies, and dramas, as well as a bright and bouncy melody. The music video, in which the members transform into famous movie characters and give off their signature lovely energy, received much love from fans both domestically and internationally.
In addition to “What is Love,” which was the first MV to surpass 800 million views, TWICE has continued to hold the record for the most MVs with over 100 million views among girl groups worldwide, with 18 songs including “TT,” “LIKEY,” and “FANCY,” each with 600 million views, and “CHEER UP,” “I CAN’T STOP ME,” “Feel Special,” and “OOH-AHH,” each with 500 million views, as well as 4 Japanese releases and an English single, for a total of 24 MVs with over 100 million views.
Meanwhile, on the 27th and 28th, TWICE became the first K-pop girl group and the first foreign female artist to enter the Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa, Japan, and decorated the splendid finale of their fifth world tour, ‘READY TO BE’.
This world tour, which boasted its largest scale, began in Seoul in April 2023 and was held grandly around the world, including Japan, North America, Australia, Europe, Southeast Asia, and South America, and in particular, filled several ultra-large stadiums, including SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, USA and MetLife Stadium in New York.
