Noida: In the preliminary investigation of the Supertech Twin Tower case located in Sector-93A of Noida, Uttar Pradesh, a final notice has been issued to 11 officials of Noida Authority found guilty. They have been summoned on August 8 for the final hearing. After this, the complete report of this case will be sent to the government and action will be recommended against the accused. After the SIT was formed by the government in this case, a case was registered against 26 officers in the investigation. On March 23, 2023, the government handed over the investigation of 11 of these officers to ACEO Saumya Srivastava of Greater Noida Authority.

After the initial investigation by Greater Noida ACEO, 11 officers of Noida Authority were found guilty. Holding these officers guilty, he recommended to the government that a high-level technical investigation of this case be conducted. The government, being satisfied with the investigation of Greater Noida ACEO, directed him to conduct a full investigation in this case and returned the file. After this, now the ACEO is investigating the case again. According to the officials of the authority, the ACEO has issued notices to all the 11 officers found guilty in this case and has sought their final reply. He will hold the final hearing of this case on August 8. After this, the investigation report will be prepared and sent to the government with recommendations. After this, action will be taken by the government.

A case was filed against 26 officers

Out of the 26 officers who have been booked in the SIT investigation in this case, 20 officers have already retired. Two have died. Four officers have been suspended from service. Apart from this, departmental investigation of all the IAS officers who were accused in this case is going on at the government level. This includes Mohinder Singh, the then CEO of Noida Authority, SK Dwivedi and ACEO RP Arora, OSD Yashpal Singh etc.

Supreme Court’s comment on Noida Authority

The Supreme Court had made a strong comment on the functioning of the Noida Authority regarding the Twin Tower case. He had said that corruption drips not only from the face of the authority but also from its mouth, nose and eyes. After this, the government constituted a four-member committee in this matter in September 2021 under the chairmanship of the Uttar Pradesh Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner. On the basis of the committee’s report, a case was registered on 4 October 2021 against 26 officers-employees, directors of Supertech and their architects.
