Twitter, Elon Musk wants to slow down the process

Elon Musk’s legal team responded to Twitter’s lawsuit when Tesla’s CEO decided to blow up the deal to buy the social network. Musk’s lawyers, first of all, claim that Twitter is trying to move things forward with excessive speed. For this reason, he asks that no trial be carried out before February 13, 2023. In this case, the latest date to complete the purchase is mentioned, which according to the agreements previously made appears to be October 24 of this year. In short, it seems that the dispute between Musk and Twitter will continue for a long time: the mutual accusations paint a picture in which Musk would have pulled back under the pretext of fake Twitter accounts, while the social network would be taking advantage of the situation to bring Musk to court and gain from the agreement, albeit skipped. The deal originally would have involved a record $ 44 billion purchase to make Twitter a private company again (it is currently listed on Nasdaq). Musk is still one of the majority shareholders of the company, holding about 9 percent of the shares.
