Twitter plans to lay off a quarter of its employees

by time news
The Washington Post reports that Twitter plans to cut a quarter of its employees.

The move comes after Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, bought the company last week.

It is also said that more layoffs can be expected.

At the end of last year, Twitter employed 7,000 people.

It is believed that nearly 2,000 people will be affected if the initial layoffs are implemented.

Musk has already fired CEO Parag Agrawal and chief financial officer Ned Segal.
