Bangladesh Army Lieutenant General Ahmad Tabrez Shams Chowdhury and Major General Hamidul Haque have been sent on compulsory retirement.
This information was informed in a notification of the Ministry of Defense on Thursday (September 12).
According to the notification, they are under Section 18 of the Army Act, Army Act (Rules) 12 (1), Army Regulations (Rules) 78 (C), 253 (C) (ii), 261, Revised Army Regulations (Rules) 262 (4). ) and 269 (A), Army Regulations (Instructions) 168 (B) and Rule-9 (K) of the Compendium of Military Pensions-1981 under the administrative system ‘Premature (Compulsory) Retirement’ from the service of Bangladesh Army is granted.
The notification informed that the retirement of the said officers will be effective within 15 days from the date of issue of this order.
Earlier on Tuesday, GOC of Army Training and Doctrine Command Lt Gen Mujibur Rahman was dismissed and Lt Gen Mohammad Saiful Alam was sent on compulsory retirement.
