Venjaramoodu: Two persons have been arrested for making guns under the guise of carpenter work. Azim (42) of AS Manzil and Surendran (63) of Aryanad Lali Bhavan were arrested at Vembayam Arasummoodu Munnanakuzhi. The gun was found during a raid on Azim’s house in Arasumuttu based on intelligence received by the police.
Seized items including gunpowder, 9mm pistol, old revolver and 7.62mm SLR used in firearms. Police said further investigation would reveal whether the construction was on an industrial basis.
