/ The Syrian Observatory reported today, Saturday, that groups supported by Iran attacked the American base in the Al-Omar oil field, which is the largest military base for American forces in Syria, with a barrage of missiles.
He added: “The militias targeted the Al-Omar oil field base 3 times within an hour.”
He pointed out that “the ground-based anti-aircraft systems tried to intercept the missiles but were unable to shoot them down, with no information about human losses.”
He continued: “The new targeting comes after the attack on the Conoco gas plant base a short while ago, where the Iranian-backed groups attacked the American base at the Conoco gas plant in two waves, the first with a drone, and the second with a barrage of missiles.”
The Iranian-backed militias have recently intensified their attacks on US forces, prompting an American response that has targeted areas where these groups are gathering in Iraq and Syria.
