The candidates registered by the PRI for these positions are former governor Miguel Riquelme and former local deputy María Bárbara Cepeda.

The secretaries who will be leaving their positions are considered people close to Governor Jiménez.

Elizondo is one of the most trusted people in the President’s environment, ranging from his personal assistant to coordinating the Secretariat of Social Development, the last position that Jiménez had before being a candidate for governor.

For her part, Amezcua is a political profile with a strong presence in the Central Region of the entity, of which she was already a representative as a federal deputy, a position for which she requested permission to join the state cabinet.

It turned out that both politicians will be requesting leave for the next three and a half months. Until now it is unknown who will replace them in their positions.
