In May and August, several of Marius Müller-Westernhagen’s concerts were cancelled. Now, further performances by the singer are being cancelled.

In May, Marius Müller-Westernhagen suddenly felt unwell and had to cancel a performance in Stuttgart at short notice. At the time, it was suspected that the cause was a neglected infection. “We took him out of the game so as not to risk anything,” his management told “Bild”. Three months later, the next disappointment followed: Due to illness, the shows in Mönchengladbach and Coburg could not take place either.

In an Instagram post, Marius-Müller Westernhagen’s team has to turn to fans again with bad news. The concerts in Dresden and Halle/Saale have to be cancelled “on medical advice due to the artist’s persistent viral infection”. Tickets for these dates are also no longer available on the Eventim sales platform.

Müller-Westernhagen was supposed to play in Dresden on Saturday, August 24th. The concert in Halle/Saale was supposed to follow on Tuesday, August 27th. According to the social media statement, no catch-up dates are planned.

Fans who have tickets for other concerts on the “75 Live” tour should not worry. According to current information, the remaining shows will take place. Marius Müller-Westernhagen is scheduled to appear on stage in Neu-Ulm, Munich and Rostock, among others. The tour schedule shows that the next show is scheduled for August 31st.

Many fans on Instagram reacted with understanding to the cancellation. “Health comes first, of course” and “Then we’ll see each other another time,” read some comments. In addition, numerous followers wished the 75-year-old a speedy recovery. However, some also voiced criticism: “Can’t we just cancel the whole tour so that we can plan too?” asks one user. “Really great, now the loyal fans are once again in trouble. It’s really starting to get on my nerves,” says another annoyed.
