Islami Andolan Bangladesh has announced a two-day program to protest against the killing of innocent students by accusing government party terrorists and police forces of attacking innocent students protesting for quota reform.

The program includes a protest rally on July 18 at Baitul Mukarram North Gate in Dhaka at 3 pm and in districts and cities across the country. On Friday, prayer and protest marches were held in all mosques across the country.

On Wednesday (July 17) afternoon, the party’s Ameer Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim announced the program at the ongoing political situation review meeting at the IAB Auditorium in Purana Paltan of the city.

Amir of the Islamic Movement said that the Prime Minister’s speech to the students who are agitating for the quota reform is extremely provocative. Out of anger, the statement he made from the position of the executive head of the country like the Prime Minister is not consistent with his responsibility. Instead of reassuring the students, the Prime Minister has on the contrary excited them. After the Prime Minister’s speech, the Chhatra League played the role of lathial across the country, killing innocent students and humiliating the students. The government cannot avoid the responsibility of this murder in any way.

Syed Rezaul Karim said that the government is distributing the VAT-tax paid by the people and smuggling it abroad. They are looting the resources of the state by giving jobs to their own party people in the name of quota. That’s why talented people are kept away. He declared solidarity with the demands of the agitating students and said that the logical demands of the agitating students should be accepted. Citizens should stand by the students from every position.
