Drama near Le Havre. Two people died on Sunday in a fire in a building near Le Havre, in Harfleur (Seine-Maritime), we learned from the prefecture.
“An intervention for a fire in Harfleur in a three-storey building started around 5 a.m. this Sunday morning” according to the prefect’s communication service.
Two people, whose sex or age were not specified, died in this fire. Three people were also “slightly inconvenienced by the fumes, including two police officers”, adds the prefecture.
“Seven evacuations took place with firefighters’ ladders” and the SDIS76 “engaged up to 35 firefighters and 16 devices at the height of the fire”, according to this source.
The causes of the disaster were not known on Sunday. The Le Havre prosecutor’s office, contacted by AFP, did not respond at the end of the afternoon.
