Delhi Police has registered 2 FIRs against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The case has been registered against Brij Bhushan in view of the complaint of women wrestlers. A case has been registered at the Connaught Place police station and it is being told that a case has also been registered under the Pakso Act. Actually this case has been registered based on the complaint of a minor victim
Delhi Police said that the second FIR was registered based on the complaint of another female wrestler. Delhi Police has started investigation into both the cases. However, it is not yet known which provisions have been added in both the FIRs. The police have mentioned the Pakso Act in only one FIR
Female wrestler Sakshi Malik also spoke to the media at Jantar Mantar and said that Brij Bhushan should go to jail. “This (FIR against Brij Bhushan) is the first step towards victory,” he said. But our demonstration will continue till Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh goes to jail. We will file our statement in the Supreme Court
