The Municipality of Chalkis is happy and proud to announce that it won two Gold Awards in collaboration with Delloitte Greece at the Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2024, held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at the Markou Wine Museum in Pallini, Attica.
The Strategic Plan for the resettlement of the Village of Halki, which was studied and presented by the executives of Delloitte Greece, was awarded with two Gold Awards in the Sustainable Development categories.
The Mayor of Chalkis Mr. Fragakis Evangelos stated:
I congratulate the excellent patriotic initiative of Delloitte Greece and its executives to analyze the data in order to create an attractive environment to repopulate the Village of Chalki.
Delloitte’s Strategic Planning, prepared free of charge for the Municipality of Chalkis, inspires optimism and hope in the effort to continue inhabiting the small places of our Greece.

Addressing the demographic problem is a complex and multidimensional challenge that requires comprehensive and long-term solutions.
Solving the demographic problem is a social and political responsibility. It requires cooperation and coordination from all stakeholders, it is important to emphasize that there is no one-size-fits-all solution to the demographic problem. The adoption of diverse and combined measures is necessary to address this complex problem.
The resettlement of the Village leaves us with enormous optimism for the future of our country.
