Two hikers were rescued from the Betzet River in the Western Galilee and evacuated to a hospital in Nahariya

Volunteers from the Israel Police from the “Galil-Carmel” rescue unit finished a short time ago (Sunday) rescuing two hikers from the Betzet River who were there as part of a private trip.

One, a 69-year-old hiker from the center of the country, who fell and was injured in the leg while walking in the creek.

The second, a 74-year-old hiker from the center of the country, who was unable to continue the hike due to general weakness.

A team of rescued members of the wounded and paramedics of the unit provided them with primary medical care in the field. Later, they were both evacuated on a stretcher trip outside the reserve, where an MDA ambulance was waiting for them, which evacuated them to the Western Galilee Hospital in Nahariya.
