The 27-year-old girl from Pleven with Nigerian roots, Elizabeth Omoregie, is the star of Slovenia in handball and scored 4 times in her first match.

Only at 18, she was left to take care of her younger sister and brother alone, as her parents worked abroad. Moreover, shortly after Lisa was named MVP and best playmaker in the European edition of the “Challenge Trophies” in Larisa (Greece), where she led the Bulgarian team to first place.

In 2017, Elizabeth Omoregie acquired Slovenian citizenship and became part of the country’s national team, after previously playing for the local club “Krim Mercator”, with which she also achieved success in the Champions League in handball.
