Kochi: The four accused in the case of gang-rape of a model woman have been remanded in police custody till November 26. Kodungallur natives Vivek Sudhakaran, Nidin Meghnathan, Sudeep and Rajasthan native Dimple Lampa (Dolly) were remanded in custody by the Ernakulam Judicial Magistrate Court.

The prosecution told the court that the accused’s act was premeditated and brutal. The complainant was tortured by buying alcohol and making her unconscious. A brutal gang-rape took place outside the hotel in the parking area and in the vehicle. The mobile phones of accused one to three have been seized in the case. But it could not be checked due to password lock. Dimple’s phone has also been found in the fourth case. The prosecution had told the court that further investigation should be conducted focusing on Dimple, who had come from another state and was staying here alone, and the accused should be interrogated in detail. After that, the four accused were ordered to be kept in custody till the 26th.

The altercation in the courtroom was triggered by two lawyers appearing for Dimple. Adv. Afzal and Adv. B.A. Allur also came to the court for Dimple. Adv. Dimple was entrusted to Afzal. But Adv.
