The Minister of Interior and Justice, Remigio Ceballos, explained that the aircraft was operating “clandestinely for the international trafficking of narcotic and psychotropic substances.” The plane is identified as C402B, serial 0347. It was specified that the two fatal victims of the accident are of “Mexican nationality.”
